Raise resilient, emotionally regulated teens

without losing connection along the way.

For parents of 10–15-year-olds who want stronger relationships, greater resilience and better communication.

There is a season of parenting that can leave even thoughtful, capable parents unsure.

Your child is growing, changing, and needing you differently. Emotions run hotter, friendships become more complex, school pressure builds, and what used to work no longer lands in the same way.

These years matter deeply. They shape a young person’s confidence, communication, relationships, identity, and resilience. The goal is not to parent perfectly or simply survive the season. It is to raise a young person who can handle life well — and to stay meaningfully connected while they learn how.

Unravel helps parents of 10–15-year-olds raise resilient, emotionally regulated young people through stronger relationships, wiser communication, and practical guidance for the years that shape so much.

Because when young people are given the right support, they build the resilience, confidence, and emotional strength they carry into every part of life.

Why families trust us

Unravel brings together emotional regulation, communication, adolescent development, and family dynamics in a way that feels wise, calm, and genuinely useful.

This work is trauma-informed, education-informed, practical in real life, relational rather than reactive, and credible for families, schools, and communities.

Because we know you do not need more noise, stress or deadends.
You're looking for guidance and support that actually helps.

For Schools

Unravel also partners with schools and aligned communities to support parents, students, and staff through practical, emotionally intelligent workshops and programs.

This includes parent workshops, teen workshops, staff sessions, and school partnership opportunities designed to strengthen communication, resilience, and support around the years that matter most.

Meet Joanne Panetta

Hi, I'm Joanne.

I created Unravel for parents who can feel how much these years matter and want a clearer, wiser way to meet them.

My work helps families strengthen relationships, communicate more effectively, and support young people as they grow in resilience, confidence, and emotional strength.

Because this stage does not just shape behaviour. It shapes identity, connection, and the way a young person learns to move through life. Parents deserve guidance that is thoughtful, practical, and deeply human.

From Clients

Claire & Tia

Joanne has helped my daughter Tia so much. She has a way of encouraging her talk about things that have been sitting there for a while with a lightness that just works for our daughter. Joanne has helped us to support her through navigating recovering from injury and this impacting her mindset.

Erin & Pyper

We have worked with Joanne for many years and found that her way helps our children so much. We have tried working with psychologists and counsellors but we continue to come back to Joanne’s Unravel Method because it works. Her connection with the kids is something special.

Daniella & Mietta

Joanne has worked with Mietta for years in her primary school age and now in the Unravel Teen Program. They have a great relationship and connect through laughter and play. As we step into teen years, we feel confident that Mietta has Joanne as part of her community to help navigate the hard things.

Jade and Alvaro

I saw Joanne’s TEDx talk online and followed her and when we met in person I just knew we would work well together. She has guided us in our journey around exploring new ways of looking at educating our children and we wanted her to be part of our lives while the kids were young to support us as a family.

She is now like part of our family. Our kids adore her. Her knowledge & wisdom are next level but above all she is warm, loving and genuine. I recommend her to everyone I meet!

Renee

Joanne has worked with my family in many ways; all together, just with my children in a home school sense, with just my husband and I and also with my daughter and I and what is clear is that she listens so deeply and replies with love and truth and this is really refreshing.

She will call us out on things in a loving way and that has helped us more than you can know. We can’t recommend her enough.

Kristen & Dan

We were referred to Joanne by friends and she has proven to be everything we were looking for and more for our sons.

She not only supports us with homeschooling in an academic sense, she connects with our boys and gets to the core of what's holding confidence back, especially in writing.

She is warm, welcoming and genuine and we can’t recommend her enough.

Participant

Joanne is very easy to talk to! She hads such big heart.
